We are lucky enough to be located in the heart of Aberdeenshire’s rich countryside with a back drop of woodlands, and we encourage our guests to explore at their leisure some picturesque walks through our stunning woodland and around the Haddo Trout Lake.

Stroll through the inviting landscape with plenty to discover at every turn with our rich diversity of trees and wildlife, including red squirrels, herons, osprey and deer. Guests can pick up a picnic from our shop and relish the outdoors for as long as they please.

Through our active woodland management, we’ve planted more than 400 new trees to help sustain the environment and give future generations of visitors even more to see.   We encourage you to report any wildlife sightings,  interesting plants and fungi so we can record them in our wildlife diary.
